Research Conversations is a podcast produced by the Digital Legal Lab (DLL) Lab featuring the works of our (junior) researchers active in the area of law and digital technologies. The DLL’s research initiative brings together researchers from the law schools of Tilburg University, Radboud University, the University of Amsterdam and Maastricht University.

If you haven’t yet listened to our first episode, join host Aimen Taimur, a PhD Researcher and Teaching Assistant at TILT, for our first episode in a captivating conversation with Brenda Espinosa Apráez, a postdoctoral researcher at Tilburg University. Brenda delves into her expertise in law, technology, and data governance, particularly exploring the use of AI in the energy sector in the context of the energy transition and how it connects with the notion of energy justice. Aimen and Brenda engage in an enlightening discussion, offering valuable insights into critical legal aspects of emerging technologies. Don’t miss this enlightening conversation, perfect for your free time listening! At the end of the month, await our second episode with host Aimen Taimur and Lisa van Dongen, a PhD Researcher at TILT!

📢 Call for Papers: DLL Special Issue at Computer Law Security Review 📅 Deadline: 31 Oct 2023

'EU Cybersecurity: Collective Resilience through Regulation'

In 2020, the European Commission and the High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy presented the ‘EU’s Cybersecurity Strategy for the Digital Decade’. The aim of the special issue is to analyse this Strategy and its implementation. After more than two years, it is time to evaluate whether the strategy is succeeding in its goals, but also whether it is still fit for purpose in an ever-evolving society. In particular, the special issue is guided by three guiding themes:

  • Regulatory developments towards achieving the cybersecurity strategy.

  • Cybersecurity in times of crisis.

  • Beyond the digital decade: What does the future of cybersecurity hold?
